pursuit of happiness

For all of you that are wondering about me lately, I’ve just been hanging around soaking in happiness. Why have I been so dang happy???

1) Although challenging at times, I’m currently able to do more things that I love. I’m going to school, working out, volunteering, and have a fun job!
2) I’m surround by friends and family. Great support system and love.
3) I’m learning more and more about myself everyday.

Due to demand, I’m going to introduce you some of my best friends! They say you are the average of your five closest friends, and I think that couldn’t ring any more true for me. These ladies have ironically all been roommates of mine at sometime or another, or maybe they just gave me a key, so I considered myself a roommate.

This is my sister, Libby!

Lib and I have been friends sisters since we 14. I met her my freshmen year of high school. She claims she was only being nice by being my friend, but we all know it was really the other way around 🙂 Lib and I went to college together and roomed together our freshmen year. She has been a wonderful friend and sister to me. We’ve been through ups and downs, but she always knows the right thing to say to pick a sista up. I know every time I get to see Libby we will always end up laughing about something. She is a beautiful lady, inside and out, and my best friend.

Meet Carrie!!!

She looks a little bit like Libby, I know. She is my other sister. The older and wiser one. Usually, the voice of reason for me and Libby both (whether we agree or not). Carrie has been a great listening ear and has offered lots of encouragement and advice over the years. We’ve laughed and cried together, and have probably gotten into a fair share of trouble together. She has a wonderful heart, and I’m happy to call her my sister.

It’s Emily “MF”!!!

I won’t disclose her last name. But, her middle name is Mid-Field. I met Emily my freshmen year of college playing soccer. She introduced me to the wide world of country music. I told her my favorite song was “Whiskey Lullaby,” and she suggested I find a better song. Emily and her family have been such a blessing in my life. Taking me in as their own daughter. I love Emily because she is such a hard worker. She inspires me everyday to stay committed to my goals and dreams.

The Rachel!!!

Rachel is one of the most generous people I know. She will do almost anything for you, and that’s why I love her. Rachel and I are Thunder Buds!!!! I’m definitely going to miss going to games with her this season, and Twitter/Instagram stalking all of the Thunder players as well 🙂 Thanks for being there for me, and talking out problems and helping me find solutions. Oh, and making awesomely delicious protein bars with me. You da best!

Closing out the five is Miss Stephany. Just like the rest of the gang, I played soccer with Steph, and she was my “little sister” on the team. Stephany and I never realized how much we had in common until after our soccer days and we were pretty much two broke girls making a living in Edmond, OK while trying to figure out the mysteries of life with a bottle of wine and a Jimmy John’s sandwich. She is one of the only people that can sit me down and tell me how it is. We’re both stubborn and always right. I look up to her so much. She has come a long way and has worked hard for everything she has.

Those are my girls!

  1. Awwww, I LOVE you sister!!!! You kept me out of trouble, always comforted me and gave me sound advice. There’s no telling where I’d be without you. I thank God you came into my life. I was SO lucky to have you as my “big sister!”
