My name is Krystal and I’m from the Great State of Texas.
Moving Wright Along was created as my 2012 New Year’s Resolution as I documented my experience in training, nutrition, and life as I trained to run my first 5K. What started out as a way to document my journey (and another outlet for me to talk and talk and talk) evolved into a life blog. I have shared stories, recipes, pictures, workouts, and much more here.
From April 2016 to June 2018, I served in the Peace Corps as a Community Health & Outreach Volunteer.
I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in Nutrition and Food Science at the University of Central Oklahoma.
While many think of dietitians as the “food police,” I am here to say, I married a police so I don’t have to be.
Oh, and there was indeed chocolate cake, and it was the best day of my life.
I love food. I love the way food sparks fond memories. Like every time I eat cantaloupe, I think of summertime at my grandparents in Western PA, and how every morning my Gramps sliced fresh cantaloupe with our breakfast.
I believe all food can be enjoyed without rules or restrictions.
